Careers at Tresco Consoles

Design, Innovation, and Mission-Critical Performance

At Tresco Consoles, we design and manufacture the control room furniture that powers North America’s most advanced operations. From utilities and transportation networks to national security and energy facilities, our consoles are engineered to keep operators focused, comfortable, and in control, 24/7.

Now, we’re looking for dedicated professionals who want to be part of that mission.

Open Positions:

When a power grid fails or an airport is disrupted, the people solving it are sitting at something we built.

Tresco designs and manufactures control room environments for 24/7 mission-critical operations – utilities, oil & gas, airports, and public safety. These are high-impact, long-cycle projects that shape how teams operate for the next 10-20 years.

We have an established installed base across North America. We’re expanding regional coverage with dedicated territory ownership to deepen local relationships and convert the latent demand already in these markets.

The Role

We’re hiring an Associate Territory Manager to build and own our presence in California.

This is an early-career territory sales role with a defined path to Territory Sales Manager. You’ll start by building relationships, developing pipeline, and closing early wins — with real support behind you.

This is not an account maintenance role. You will build a territory.

As you hit milestones, your responsibility, title, and earning potential grow with you.

What You’ll Do
  1. Build relationships with channel partners — integrators, EPCs, architects, and contractors — who regularly touch control room projects and can bring Tresco into their workflow
  2. Prospect directly into end-user accounts across utilities, oil and gas, airports, and public safety where channel coverage doesn’t reach
  3. Map your territory and build a qualified target list of accounts and partners
  4. Run discovery conversations and brief our internal design and proposals team
  5. Present solutions, manage commercial discussions, and close projects
  6. Maintain pipeline and deal activity in HubSpot
  7. Travel within your region for in-person meetings — this is a field-based role
What We’re Looking For
  1. 2–5 years in B2B sales, technical sales, or project-based selling
  2. Exposure to industrial, construction, AV/integration, capital equipment, or technical solution environments is a strong advantage
  3. A builder mindset — you create opportunity, you don’t wait for leads
  4. Enough technical curiosity to hold credible conversations with engineers and operations teams
  5. Comfortable managing your own schedule and priorities with a high level of ownership
  6. Based within one hour of a major California airport
You’ll Thrive Here If You
  1. Like opening doors and developing relationships from scratch
  2. Are motivated by consultative, meaningful deals — not transactional volume
  3. Want to operate with real autonomy while having strong internal support behind you
  4. Are looking to build something long-term, not chase a short-cycle quota
Support Behind You

You will not be doing this alone.

  1. Structured onboarding with a defined ramp plan
  2. Dedicated design and proposals team with fast quote turnaround
  3. An established installed base across California and North America you can reference from day one
  4. Inbound web leads routed to your territory when they come in — volume varies by project cycle and is not guaranteed
  5. A product built for technically demanding, mission-critical environments
  6. A sales system (HubSpot) and process infrastructure already in place
  7. To be direct: this is primarily an outbound role. You will be building the pipeline. Inbound leads will supplement your work — not substitute for it.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
  1. Territory mapped with a qualified target list of 60–80 named accounts and channel partners
  2. Active outreach underway — you are building pipeline, not waiting for it
  3. First independent proposals submitted from self-generated conversations
  4. Pipeline built across at least two target verticals
  5. Inbound web leads in territory worked promptly and to completion
  6. On track for Territory Sales Manager promotion based on performance milestones
The Path Forward

This role starts as Associate Territory Manager. Promotion to Territory Sales Manager is tied to performance milestones — not a tenure clock. Progression is based on:

  1. – Pipeline built and qualified
  2. – Channel relationships established
  3. – Projects closed
  4. – Territory momentum demonstrated

We are not looking to keep strong performers at the Associate level any longer than it takes them to earn the next step.

Compensation
  1. $70,000-$80,000 base salary + uncapped commission
  2. Year one OTE typically $95,000 – $115,000+ (ramp-dependent; top performers exceed this)
  3. Car allowance or mileage reimbursement
  4. No clawbacks
  5. Full benefits
Why California

This is not a cold-start market. We have existing installations with utilities, oil and gas operators, and public safety agencies across the state. You are building presence in a market that already knows us — not introducing Tresco from scratch.

A Note on Fit

This role is for someone early enough in their career to be hungry, and experienced enough to be ready for real ownership.

If you want to build a territory, develop lasting relationships, and grow into a senior sales role with meaningful upside — we should talk.

The Role

We’re hiring a Territory Sales Manager to build and own our footprint in Houston and the Gulf Coast.

This is not an account management role. Your primary mandate is to open doors and get Tresco specified – particularly with the integrators, EPCs, and contractors who control the flow of control room projects in your market.

Success here is a network that generates consistent project flow – not a rep closing isolated deals.

What You’ll Do
  1. Map and qualify the partner ecosystem in your territory (AV integrators, systems integrators, EPCs, DCS vendors, specialty contractors)
  2. Build relationships that result in Tresco being the default console specification
  3. Support partners through scoping, design coordination, proposals, and site visits
  4. Prospect directly into end-user accounts where channel coverage is limited
  5. Travel regularly within your territory – this is a field-first role
  6. Maintain pipeline and deal progression in HubSpot
What We’re Looking For
  1. 3+ years in B2B field sales in industrial, AV/technology integration, infrastructure, or capital equipment environments
  2. Proven ability to open new accounts and build a territory from scratch – not manage an inherited book
  3. Experience working with or selling into integrators, EPCs, or contractors
  4. Comfortable with long-cycle, specification-driven sales (6-18 months)
  5. Existing relationships in Gulf Coast oil & gas, utilities, or integrator networks are a strong advantage
  6. Background in physical products, capital equipment, or custom manufactured solutions is strongly preferred over software-only experience
  7. Self-directed – you operate like you own the territory because you do
Compensation
  1. $70,000-$90,000 base salary + uncapped commission
  2. OTE typically $140,000 – $160,000+
  3. Car allowance or mileage reimbursement
  4. Full benefits
Why This Role

You’re not starting from zero.

Houston is a market where we already have installed projects, named accounts, and inbound activity. Your role is to expand presence and convert existing demand – not cold-start a territory.

What you’ll have behind you:
  1. Dedicated design and proposals team (48-hour quote turnaround)
  2. 20+ year installed base to reference
  3. A product that holds up in technically demanding environments
What you won’t have:
  1. A ceiling on earnings
  2. A territory that’s been picked clean
Location

This is a remote, home-office-based role in the Houston metro – you’ll be in market, not in an office.

A Note on Fit

This role is for someone who has built a territory before and wants to do it again – with a product that performs, real demand in the market, and a company that supports the work without getting in the way.

If that’s where you are, we should talk.

About the Role

We’re hiring a full-stack developer to build AI-powered tools and automations that streamline how our business operates, from sales workflows to project handoffs to operational reporting. You’ll work directly with our team to identify high-impact problems and build solutions from scratch.

This isn’t maintaining legacy systems or writing tickets. It’s greenfield work: take a messy business process, figure out how AI and modern tooling can fix it, and ship something that works. Full stack, end-to-end, with real autonomy.

You’ll sit with our operations and sales teams, understand their friction points, and engineer scalable software that allows Tresco to scale its mission-critical work. Think of it as building the internal operating system for a manufacturing company, custom CRM, project management, reporting, and AI-driven automation all under one roof.

Core Competencies
Frontend
  1. Proficiency with a modern JavaScript framework (React or similar)
  2. Ability to build clean, functional dashboard UIs
  3. Comfortable with REST API integration and TypeScript
Backend & API
  1. Experience designing and building scalable REST APIs
  2. Python or Node.js (TypeScript) backend development
  3. Familiarity with async task processing and background jobs
Database
  1. Strong SQL fundamentals — schema design and query optimization
  2. Experience with at least one ORM
  3. Familiarity with caching layers (Redis or similar)
AI/LLM Integration
  1. Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar) into real projects — not just tutorials
  2. Understanding of prompt design, structured extraction, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
  3. Experience building agents or automations that handle real business workflows
DevOps & Infrastructure
  1. Comfort with Docker and containerized development environments
  2. Experience deploying to at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  3. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Core Responsibilities
  1. Audit manual workflows across departments and translate them into automated software solutions
  2. Design database schemas and API structures to centralize manufacturing operations
  3. Architect a custom CRM and project management platform tailored to critical infrastructure manufacturing
  4. Build and integrate LLM-based tools to automate document analysis, project estimation, and reporting
  5. Work directly with non-technical teams to understand problems and ship working solutions
What We’re Looking For
  1. 4+ years of professional full-stack experience
  2. Strong background in database design and API architecture
  3. Comfortable working in a greenfield environment without detailed specs
  4. Has shipped things end-to-end — not just individual components
  5. Uses AI tools as a regular part of how they work
  6. Can talk to non-technical people about their problems and translate that into software
What matters most

How you learn new skills and your drive to take on self-directed projects. We want someone who experiments, builds on their own time, and doesn’t wait to be taught.
