3600 Series

The Series 3600 console design creates a continuous curving, rather than angular, configuration with a faceted facade.

The trapezoidal wedge shape, similar bays allows similarly shaped bays to be joined together to create an arcing footprint. Equipment mounting and storage functionality of the Series 3600 is equivalent to that of the angular Series 2400. In fact, because wedges, required in the rectangular Series 2400 bays to create the angles, are eliminated from the design, the overall cost of a Series 3600 console can be lower than a comparable Series 2400-style console.

In a multiple monitor environment, monitors should be positioned so that the operator can observe them with as little head turning and chair sliding as possible. Curving the console configuration achieves this and optimizes the amount of equipment within the operator's reach envelope. This maximizes operator efficiency and helps reduce the incidence of repetitive stress injuries.
