Desktop

Our most popular console style is the Desktop configuration.

It is a flat work surface with a storage area below with fixed or sliding trays for CPUs and other equipment.

For the operator, it functions very similar to a desk or workstation but offers the advantage of ;

  • human factor furniture design
  • ergonomics
  • enclosing CPU security

The steel frame can also be rigged to accept special gear like rack mount rails, electrical raceway, circuit boards etc.

The Desktop may also have a modified, recessed work surface area which sets the monitor at a lower height, both for improved ergonomics (the head of a seated operator naturally leans forward a little and when the monitor is set at a lower height there is less strain on the neck than if the neck has to bend upward) and for improved sightlines over the monitor to the rest of the room.
