History

Tresco Consoles™ has a rich, diverse and proud history. Operating in Calgary, Alberta Canada for over 40 years, we are internationally recognized as a premier manufacture and leader in the Custom Console market. Below is a brief overview or our major achievements over the last 40 years.

1968
Tresco Consoles incorporates as a high-end office furniture millwork provider.


1984
Tresco designs and manufactures its first control room console - as a millwork project.


1990
Tresco initiates research and development into modular steel frame construction, metal fabrication, software development and system integration.


1992
The first installation of our newly developed 2400 series console occurs.


1994
Launch of the 3600 series for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority control centre. A first with a continuous radius reaches the marketplace offering elegant, curving lines with a reduced cost. To this day, the Tresco 3600 series console is a strong element in industrial showpiece console design.


1997
The 2400 series is re-engineered as a fully adjustable console. The console is designed to accommodate multiple shift operators of various heights.


1999
The 4800 series is developed with a strong new look for flat panel or standard computer monitors showcases our "flying" valance and teardrop storage pedestals.


2001
Attainment of full ISO 9001 registration. Implementation of SolidWorks 3D parametric design and manufacturing processes.


2002
Tresco manufacturing shop renovation and process modernization deliver an estimated 25% increase in capacity as Tresco reinforces its commitment to the customized console and control room marketplace.


2002
Launch of new product, "The Navigator" and provides Tresco with a sit/stand console solution responsive to the needs of the communications and control centre customers.


2003
Tresco is certified to the ISO 9001:2008 quality management standard.


2004
Launch of the "Vertec" product line, an ultra-modern sit/stand design that includes options for fully articulating monitors and work surface positions


2006
Tresco once again proves to be an industry innovator with the development of TEST© (Tresco Edge Sensing Technology) – An optional safety bumper system that can be used with all moving work surfaces on adjustable or full sit/stand consoles.
